Answer: No, The reference to "tor" in TorGuard relates to "torrents" and guarding one’s privacy when using bitorrent. We are not related in any way to the “tor” project however the company does support through donations.
Answer: Yes we do, port forwarding is limited to ports above 2048 and through openvpn, we do not support port forwarding through the following protocols PPTP/L2TP/SSTP. To open a port, login to your client area dashboard and next to your service click the menu option Management Actions >> Request Port Forward next to your VPN service. That will then be processed instantly, you will then receive an activation email with instructions on how to use it within the TG Client. Once thats processed login to your client area dashboard and next to your service click the menu option Management Actions >> Port Management next to your VPN service to manage your ports.

Answer: Dedicated IP's are only available through openvpn currently and can be connected through our TG Client using this guide here. You can also use the openvpn config file created when your IP was assigned and import it into any other thrid party openvpn app using our config generator here.
Answer: Many TG Clients use our Dedicated IP or shared IP's for many different types of external services - TorGuard has no control over external services and what IP's or ranges they block, if for some reason your service has stopped functioning or it is clear your IP was flagged as being a proxy or VPN we are quite happy to reissue a new IP free of charge (for dedicated IP customers), if you are on shared IP's we recommend you purchase your own private IP. If for any reason we have no more working IP's for the service you are looking to use we will simply cancel the addon, we cannot refund IP's already assigned unless the IP was blocked within 2 days of your purchasing it.
Answer: The most common cause for this is DNS, please follow the appropriate guide here for your OS and this should solve your problem, if not try flushing your DNS cache via the following guide here, if using the TG Client try going to more settings.. >> Network tab >> Uncheck "Block outside DNS", if none of these solves your problem submit a ticket here.
Answer: The most common cause for this is security software, to isolate the problem we suggest for a few minutes disable them completely, don't just close them as they will still run in the background, you need to disable all it's features and make expections for our software. if this does not solve your problem submit a ticket here.
