Is TorGuard related in any way to the “tor” project?
Answer: No, The reference to "tor" in TorGuard relates to "torrents" and guarding one’s privacy when using bitorrent. We are not related in any way to the “tor” project however the company does support through donations.
Do you support port forwarding?

Answer: Yes we do, simply go to My Services >> View Details (Next to your VPN Service) >> Management Actions >> Request Port Forward. That will then be processed instantly. Then you will receive a config to use in your client. Once thats processed you can manage those ports here: My Services >> View Details (Next to your VPN Service) >> Management Actions >> Port Management

Please note: Dedicated IP's by default come with this port range opened: 40000-65000 (this excludes streaming IP's).

How do I cancel my account/subscription?
Answer: Login to your client area dashboard and go to My Services >> View Details >> Management Actions >> Request Cancelation for each service.
I am receiving authentication failures. How do I connect?
Answer: Login and make sure your service is not terminated or suspended, if not, login to your client area dashboard to view your username and reset your password if unsure. If those don't work contact our support desk.
I haven't received my Dedicated IP. Where is it?
Answer: Dedicated IP's are not assigned automatically, please contact our support desk with the location you want your IP assigned and they will assign that to you right away if they are ready available, please note that sometimes new IP's have to be ordered to be able to assign you one, this can sometimes take up to 1 to 2 days if this is the case.
How do i connect to my Dedicated IP?
Answer: Dedicated IP's are only available through openvpn currently and can be connected through our TG Client using this guide here. You can also use the openvpn config file created when your IP was assigned and import it into any other thrid party openvpn app.
I connected to the VPN, but I still can't access any websites. What do I do?
Answer: The most common cause for this is DNS, please follow the appropriate guide here for your OS and this should solve your problem, if using the TG Client try going to more settings.. >> Network tab >> Uncheck "Block outside DNS", if this solves your problem make sure to set static DNS as in the URL above.
Im having stability problems, disconnections etc is there an easy fix ?
Answer: The most common cause for this is security software, to isolate the problem we suggest for a few minutes disable them completely, don't just close them as they will still run in the background, you need to disable all it's features and make expections for our software.
How do I know my TorGuard proxy or VPN service is working?
Answer: To check your VPN connection, just connect to the VPN server and visit to check your current IP address. For torrents, TorGuard's free Check My Torrent IP Tool is a torrent tracker that lets you download a legal torrent file to your client. Because no one other than you has this torrent and since there are no seeders, the torrent will not download any data or complete - it will remain active in your queue as long as you wish. You'll see your torrent IP within your torrent client and will now be able to constantly monitor your setup.
Can you use both VPN and Proxy together for Increased Security?
Answer: You can, HTTP proxies will work with VPN without issues, using both socks5 and VPN might slow things down and cause issues if you connect to the wrong VPN location. If using both socks5 and VPN together you must connect VPN to a socks5 enabled location.

Can I send email via your VPN when using outlook etc?
Answer: Yes you can, we just block outgoing SMTP port 25.
Does TorGuard keep logs?

Answer: Absolutely not - never have and never will!

How many simultaneous connections can I use with your service?

Answer: You get x5 simultaneous connections free on signup. You can buy more for 1 USD each per month inside your account.

Is there any penalty to cancel? What is your refund policy?

Answer: If for any reason you are not happy with your service within the first 7 days we'll issue a 100% refund - no questions asked. Please bare in mind users who order "fresh" Dedicated IP's, these are non-refundable, we will subtract the payment for Dedicated IP's and refund the service payment.

You must also follow the correct cancelation procedure by loging into your TG account and cancelling via My Services >> View Details >> Management Actions >> Request Cancelation. Any recurring payments made through subscriptions that you fail to cancel are also non-refundable.

How are payments linked to individual user accounts?

Answer: Our billing area and VPN/Proxy network are completely separate systems. This is to ensure the privacy and securities of our customer’s accounts are upheld at all times. Our backend will only ever see you as a random hash, nothing can link you to billing or our servers.

What sort of speed will I get?

Answer: Bandwidth and speeds are not limited in any way. All of our servers feature gigabit+ port speeds, so DL rates can vary from 5mbps – 100mbps+ depending on your connection speed, server load, CPU, distance from you to the location you are connecting to and ping, speed has many factors!
