How to setup a TorGuard HTTP Proxy with Foxy Proxy

TorGuard’s anonymous proxy service is not just for the avid Bittorrent enthusiast. In this tutorial we’ll show you how easy it is to setup a TorGuard anonymous proxy with the popular Firefox plugin FoxyProxy.

Foxy Proxy is a very easy and effective way to tunnel firefox web browsing traffic through an anonymous TorGuard web proxy. This can provide faster streaming speeds than VPN service and doesn’t require any special VPN software installation.

1) Visit the FoxyProxy plugin page and download FoxyProxy to your firefox web browser:






2) After the install you will be prompted to restart the firefox browser session - once restarted you can access its functions by clicking the little foxy icon in the address bar



3) Next, click the "Add New Proxy" button on the right hand side.


4) Set your settings to match below and click OK to connect - all HTTP/SSL proxy hostnames can be found here


 5) Now click the drop down menu next to "Select Mode" and select the HTTP proxy you just created as per the image below.

 6) You should now be connected and ready to browse - visit TorGuards Whats My IP to check and make sure your IP has changed:


That’s it! You are now successfully behind one our Elite Anonymous Proxies.

Please Note:

For FoxyProxy to work with our SSL proxies, the followign change needs to be made:

1) Type about:config into the browser window and search for

2) If this string doesn't exist you need to right click > select new string > and use as the name

3) The value will be the port number you want to allow  i.e. 993 or 465.
